Ambassador Zaake Kibedi Hosts Ugandan Entrepreneur Ignatius Ngondwe in Abu Dhabi.
ABU DHABI, UAE — The Ugandan Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Zaake Wanume Kibedi, hosted Ugandan entrepreneur Ignatius Ngondwe at the Uganda Embassy in Abu Dhabi for a conversation on diaspora engagement, business and opportunities connecting Uganda and the UAE.
Ignatius Ngondwe has lived and worked in the UAE since 2014, building a career that has progressed through sales, operations, training and development, international brand environments, human resources and management before transitioning into entrepreneurship.
His professional journey includes experience with prominent brands including Sacoor Brothers, where he worked across sales and operations before progressing into Corporate Training for the MENA region, as well as Ricci Di Napoli, where he further developed his experience in people development, training, HR and management.
Ignatius is also an award-winning HR and brand management professional. At the 2025 Employee Happiness Awards UAE, he received the Gold Award for the Rise to Success Award, recognising his professional journey and contribution to people and organisational development.
Today, Ignatius is the founder of Kata & Tru Bespoke and Kata & Tru Solutions, with the majority of his entrepreneurial focus centred on executive presentation and bespoke tailoring. Through Kata & Tru Bespoke, he is building a premium tailoring brand in Dubai focused on executives, entrepreneurs, diplomats and professionals who understand that appearance is part of leadership.
The brand offers bespoke suits and executive wardrobes crafted around the individual — from fabric selection and fit to styling and finishing — with premium English and Italian fabrics. Its approach goes beyond simply making a suit; it is about helping clients build a distinctive professional presence for boardrooms, leadership engagements, diplomatic occasions and high-stakes business environments.
Alongside the Bespoke Atelier business, Kata & Tru Solutions draws on Ignatius's background in HR, training, people development and management to provide business and professional development solutions.
The conversation with Ambassador Kibedi focused on how Ugandan professionals, entrepreneurs and businesses in the UAE can contribute to a stronger diaspora ecosystem — connecting experience, knowledge, mentorship and business opportunities between Uganda and the UAE.
Ignatius believes the diaspora should be more than a community abroad. It can be a network of professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and institutions capable of creating opportunities both here and at home.
He shared how Kata & Tru Solutions is positioned around corporate training, people development, management, business solutions and professional development, while Kata & Tru Bespoke focuses on premium bespoke suits and executive wardrobes.
During the meeting, Ignatius also presented Kata & Tru's premium fabric collections and discussed how executive presentation can complement leadership, diplomacy and institutional excellence.
ignatius expressed his appreciation to H.E. Zaake Wanume Kibedi and the Embassy team, including Mr. Jackson Mulawa, for the engagement.
For Ignatius, the conversation reflects a broader principle:
“This cannot be about one company or one entrepreneur. It has to be about an ecosystem.”
As Ugandans continue to build careers, businesses and professional networks across the UAE, Ignatius sees an opportunity to strengthen the connection between diaspora expertise and opportunities in Uganda.
Here and Home.
